Cerro Catedral Alta Patagonia resort is situated near Bariloche in Argentina’s Lake District and is South America’s most developed ski resort as it's the only one with a full-service base village.
The varying terrain offers more than 40 lifts to access 1,480 rideable acres, plus backcountry chutes and bowls.
While Catedral is known for deep powder, excellent tree riding and easily accessed off-piste terrain the resort is stepping up its game in the 2017-18 winter season by hosting the SBX World Cup opener therefore becoming the second ever Argentinian resort to host a World Cup event after Chapelco did so back in 2008 and 2009.
The snowboard cross course will feature an approximately 1,000 metres long track build in four sections and with a vertical drop of 180 metres.
